I've came from giving gospel tracts in a public school. I woke up 4a.m. and went there 5 a.m. I arrived home by quarter before 7. Its the annex of the Batangas National High School (one of the biggest public school in Batangas City) located in a community outside the city proper. So I took two rides to go to that place. You wont find the school first you have to walk I think 500 meters. At first I'm alittle bit discourage because the community is having a fiesta (a feast for their patron saint) so that means traffic, lots of marching bands, processions, drunkards at the street, people firing their guns (not at people)  and no classes. I forgot they this is their fiesta. Fortunately, they do have classes and I gave tracts to the early birds. I believe that no one has gone giving tracts in that school. Ive been praying and planning to give tracts there for months. Now I had the opportunity. Please uphold these high school kids and may the Holy Spirit guide them our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Next time, I'll give thats to private schools. God bless you

I just came from our first ever meeting of our newly born campus ministry. Harry was excited. Me scared. Me, Harry, Jason (the president)and Alice (our secretary)  had the meeting at the Student Affairs. We talk about the fees and deadlines of things like list of members and bank book. But eventually the list of members and bank book is to follow so we are excused. We had our first offense because we didn't participate at the Batangas City Day parade. We received the invitation late and our tarp is still on the press. But it still OK. We decided to buy an OR so we can invite student to join the organization. So we will open it to anyone. We are authorized to collect 50 pesos ($1) for the membership fee then they will receive a free book “One Heartbeat Away” or “One Thing You Cant do in Heaven” by Mark Cahill. So we went downtown to buy stamp pad, rubber stamp, carbon papers and OR pads.

Also before I continue the table outreach will be finally on August during the Pisktakasan (Sports Festival) of the university.

Its good we had Alice because she knows how an organization works. Then she has a friend  the editor in chief of Nurse's Notes magazine to join the organization. Wow she read the our blogsite and she was touched by what was posted there. Please continue to pray and support us because  this is a very crucial months. We are considering to go to churches to help us jumpstart our ministry for financial support. Uphold us everyday to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Thanks and God bless,

we had our first Soul Fuel last Nov.14 and it has little attendance but some profess Christ as Lord and Savior. Then our pastor did a follow up with the question about eternal security.Wow it has a great discussion. We will launch our cell group so that we will be more intact. Then we will have a Christmas outreach to the slums which our pastor is teaching the Bible. We collect money to members to buy gifts like notebooks, pencils, and ballpen for the kids. Please pray for it. We will have our next Soul Fuel this coming Saturday with our Music Workshop.Free basic guitar, octabina and keyboards lessons for members. We really covet your prayers. Please uphold us to God.Other projects next year will be a Management and Financial seminar (of course the speaker is a bank manager AND a Bible believing Christian, so the gospel will be also preach there) and an 1 day apologetic conference (something different not like True Love Waits).

Thanks for reading my updates.God bless you and more power!!!

Updates

I have mentioned previously that ROCK has been nominated for Top 5 Best Performing Student Organization in Lyceum of the Philippines University. Sadly we didn't make it. Not because we lack some of the criteria but we are late to pass the requirements. Plus our leaders are having there duty week somewhere in Manila and we have a very conflicting schedule (nursing students are very busy). I told the guys that there's no one to blame and we should pray that next year we can make it. Even the Office of the Student Affairs told our leaders that if they have pass it on time we could be on the number 4 spot. Good enough for a young organization. Meaning we surpassed the other  72 organizations. Please pray that we will get nominated and pursue God's mandate for us in the campus.

Our last Soul Fuel,January 23, 2010 we have the leaders and junior officers with us. Its a great opportunity to meet again and catch up on things. We had a great time with our Bible Study for our topic is very timely its about Leadership lead by Bro Leo. I also made copies of an article titled “How To Make an Impact”. I gave all the participants copies of it. The article is very inspiring and reinforcing specially for the senior officer's last to months. Then we had our meeting. Sir Harry encourages to let God use us for His purpose.

It 's funny that as we are doing our Soul Fuel discussing leadership, there is an ongoing seminar on the Freedom Hall (where we had the movie event featuring “Facing The Giants”). The guest speaker was Congressman Ferdinand Marcos Jr. (or Bong-Bong) talking about leadership. It puts a smile in our faces. We really need leaders. Not just leaders but godly, Bible believing leaders. Please pray that God will continue to put the burning passion to future leaders of ROCK.

To round up the Soul Fuel, we had a picture taking session. It was fun as everyone pose for the camera. It might be for documentation or for ROCK being featured in the nursing student publication called”Nurse's Notes”. Alice Salazar, our secretary who is also a staff of Nurses Notes informed us maybe on the March issue we will have a featured article.

Thanks for reading our updates. God bless you. Thank you for your support and prayers.

Yours in Christ,
Nitoy
