On Friday morning, May 17, 2009, a group of Taliban ambushed a US Army convoy in Afghanistan. Manning a light machine gun, my son John Massi held down two re-enforced Taliban positions while the soldiers advanced. The Taliban escaped, although blood in one of the positions indicates that one was wounded. There were no American casualties.

We praise the Lord for protecting our son.
